Introducing Apple Intelligence: Making Your iPhone, iPad, and Mac Smarter
CUPERTINO, CALIFORNIA — Apple has just announced Apple Intelligence, a new system designed to make your iPhone, iPad, and Mac smarter and more helpful. This system uses powerful technology to understand what you need and help you get things done quickly. It’s built into the latest software updates: iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia, and works with the special chips inside Apple devices.

Better Writing and Communication
Apple Intelligence includes new tools to help you write better. These tools are part of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia, and can be used in apps like Mail, Notes, and Pages. They can help you rewrite text, check your grammar, and summarize long pieces of writing. This makes it easier to write emails, notes, and more.
In Mail, a new feature called Priority Messages shows your most important emails at the top. Smart Reply suggests quick responses, and Priority Notifications in the Notification Center highlight important alerts. A new feature, Reduce Interruptions, helps you focus by only showing important notifications.
In the Notes and Phone apps, you can record, transcribe, and summarize audio. This means you can easily keep track of important information from calls and meetings.
Fun Image Creation with Image Playground
Apple Intelligence lets you create fun images with a new tool called Image Playground. You can choose from different styles like Animation, Illustration, or Sketch, and create images by typing descriptions or using your own photos. This tool is built into apps like Messages, Notes, and more.
Personalized Genmoji
With Apple Intelligence, you can create Genmoji, which are custom emojis based on descriptions or photos. These can be used in messages, as stickers, or reactions, making your conversations more fun and personal.
Improved Photo and Video Features
Finding specific photos and videos is easier with Apple Intelligence. You can search using natural language, like “Maya skateboarding in a tie-dye shirt,” to find exactly what you’re looking for. A new Clean Up tool removes unwanted objects from your photos, and the Memories feature creates stories from your photos and videos based on your descriptions.
Smarter Siri
Siri is now more powerful with Apple Intelligence. It understands you better, keeps track of what you’re talking about, and helps you with many tasks. Siri also has a new design with a glowing light around the screen edge when it’s active.
