And most importantly, are you willing to take on these challenges knowing you might get eliminated for good? Find out how strong you really are in LEGO Fortnite’s challenging Expert mode!

You can try out Cozy and Expert modes starting June 13 when v30.10 arrives.

Fortnite Get Comfortable in Cozy Mode

Storm-Wild Enemies

Are you scared of wild wolves? Well, now there are even scarier wolves out there.

In Expert mode of the game, some creatures have been infected by a mysterious “storm.” These infected creatures wander alongside normal creatures. (But where did this storm come from anyway?) These Storm-Wild enemies are tougher than regular enemies. They can hurt you more, have more health, and move faster. If you encounter them, escaping won’t be as simple as just running away.

This adds an extra challenge to the game. You’ll need to be well-prepared if you want to survive encounters with these Storm-Wild enemies.

Stronger Enemies

In Expert mode, regular enemies are tougher compared to other modes, even if they’re not super powerful ones like Storm-Wild! You’ll want to prepare your Recurve Crossbows and Longswords for the fight.

Perma-Limination

Still feeling brave? That’s good…

Here’s the warning: If you lose all your hearts in a world set to Expert mode, you’ll be permanently eliminated from that world. Found yourself in a tough spot? If you have a Totem of Return with you when you lose all your hearts, you’ll respawn in your bed with your backpack. The totem will vanish after use — a small price to avoid being permanently eliminated!

Unlock the recipe for the Totem of Return by adding a Storm Core to your inventory. Get Storm Cores from Storm-Wild enemies!

In Expert mode, losing the Totem of the Immortal means you’re out. But don’t worry! You can still play LEGO Fortnite in other worlds or start over in a new Expert world. What happens to your old world, though? Well, if you’re a key holder, you can still try to survive unless you decide to delete it.

Trophies for Your Bravery

  • Dry Valley Trophy: To get this one, defeat a Storm-Wild Sand Brute in the Dry Valley. Then, go to a Level 10 Dry Valley Village and interact with it.
  • Frostlands Trophy: Earn this by defeating a Storm-Wild Frost Brute in the Frostlands. Then, visit a Level 10 Frostlands Village and interact with it.

If you manage to earn these trophies, you’ve really achieved something great! 🏆

Major Improvements, Adjustments, and Bug Fixes

In the latest update, version 30.10, significant changes have been made to enhance your gaming experience in several key areas. One of the most noticeable updates relates to handling issues with memory usage and construct limits within your game world. This guide will walk you through these improvements in simple terms, ensuring you can make the most out of your gameplay without technical hitches.

Handling Low Memory and Construct Limits

Before version 30.10, players often encountered a “high complexity” warning, which restricted their ability to build freely in the game world. This warning typically stemmed from two main issues: low available memory or an excessive number of constructs nearby. Version 30.10 introduces clearer distinctions between these issues and provides actionable steps to mitigate them.

Low Memory Issue

If you receive a notification about low memory, it means that the game is struggling to handle the amount of information and objects present in your current area. Here’s how you can address this:

  1. Reduce Overall Constructs: Try to decrease the total number of buildings, items, and creatures in your immediate vicinity. This reduces the strain on the game’s memory resources.
  2. Limit Unique Constructs: Having too many unique structures can also contribute to memory overload. Consider consolidating or simplifying your designs to optimize performance.
  3. Manage Items and Creatures: Items and creatures also consume memory. Removing unnecessary items or relocating creatures can free up memory space.
  4. Change Locations Periodically: Moving away from densely populated areas or exiting and re-entering the game world can refresh memory allocation, potentially resolving the issue temporarily.

Please note that the amount of memory available depends on the device or platform you are playing on. Some platforms may have more memory resources than others, impacting gameplay performance.

Too Many Constructs Nearby

Alternatively, if you receive a notification about too many constructs nearby, it indicates that the game world is becoming overcrowded with structures. Here are steps to alleviate this issue:

  1. Spread Out Constructs: Distribute your buildings and structures over a larger area rather than clustering them together. This reduces the concentration of objects in one place.
  2. Use Larger Building Parts: Instead of using many small building parts, opt for larger ones where possible. This reduces the total number of individual pieces in your constructions, thereby easing the load on the game engine.
  3. Consider Location: Building in a different area of the game world can sometimes alleviate the construct density issue. Moving to less populated regions or restructuring existing areas can help manage this.
  4. Remove Unwanted Constructs: If there are structures that are no longer needed or serve no purpose, consider removing them. This not only cleans up the game world but also reduces unnecessary strain on memory and performance.

Updates and Improvements

Villager Changes

  • Villagers in the Rebel Village won’t be included in the total Villager limit for the world.

Lava Caves on Star Wars Island

  • Lava Caves on Star Wars Island will now contain Rubies!
